The 2001 Dundee Flower Show was held at Camperdown Park from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September. The chrysanthemum classes were again well supported.

The premier class is the Tayside Championship for three vases of 5 blooms, large and/or medium. Always well contested and with 5 entries this year Paul Barlow was successful with Cornetto, Carlene Welby and Kimberley Marie. This entry was also judged to be the Best Chrysanthemum Exhibit in Show. Werner Ley, Inverallochy, was second (Apricot, Oyster and Primrose Chessington) and Dennis Morrice, Fraserburgh, was third (Clapham Delight, White and Primrose Rachel Knowles). Dennis took the Best Vase in Show award for the vase of Clapham Delight in this entry.

The class for 6 vases 3 blooms large cultivars was won by Alastair Patullo, Forfar. Alastair's entry consisted of White Pearl Celebration (2), Dorridge Crystal, Pearl Celebration (2), Primrose Dorridge Crystal. Ally Donald, Brechin was second (Deva Glow, Lynn Johnson, Primrose Chessington, John Middleton, Colossus, John Harrison). Werner Ley was placed third with an all Chessingtons entry (Salmon (2), Primrose, Cherry (2), Lilac).

In the 3x3 Large class only one entry this year, Bryan Calder used Pearl Celebration, White Pearl and Dorridge Crystal to take the red card.

In the medium Section the class for 3 vases of five blooms was won by Paul Barlow (Cornetto, Carlene Welby, Lorna Wood). Dennis Morrice was second (Carlene Welby, Matlock, Woolley Globe). The class for 3 vases of 3 blooms was won by Paul Barlow (Kimberley Marie, Cornetto, John Wingfield). Dorothy Spencer was second with her entry of Amber Matlock, Lorna Wood, Yellow John Wingfield.

In the Exhibition Spays Eric Wilson (Penpont) was all alone in the 6 vase class, Eric put up another of his top class entries with vases of Southway Snoopy, Honey Enbee Wedding, Enbee Wedding, White Enbee Wedding,  and Primrose Enbee Wedding). The 3 vases class was won by Ken Findlay (Forfar), Ken used Yellow Oriel, Oriel and Pennine Rose.

Other winning entries included Enbee Wedding from Hugh Barnett, Anstruther, which picked up the award for best vase outside the Championship classes. In the Novice Section F McGeechie collected the NCS Certificate of merit for his entry.
