Grangemouth Horticultural Society - 28th September

Another good show at Grangemouth with most classes well supported. The results of the chrysanthemum classes are as follows:

Stirlingshire Trophy for 3 vases of five blooms large and/or mediums. 
First Tom  Buchan (Emily Peace, Lynn Johnson, Apricot Courtier). Second David Tait (Pink John Wingfield, John Wingfield, Carlene Welby)

James Ferrie Trophy for 3 vases of 3 large blooms. 
First Jack Kevan (Primrose Chessington, Yellow Courtier, White Pearl Celebration). Second Willie Martin (Oyster Chessington, Primrose Chessington, Lynn Johnson). Third Dave Scott (Primrose Rachel Knowles, White Rachel Knowles, Yellow Courtier)

Thomas Laidlaw Trophy for 3 vases of 3 medium blooms.
First Robert Jackson (Pink, Peach and Yellow John Wingfield). Second Dave Scott  (John Wingfield, Yellow JW and Pink JW). Third Jack Kevan (John Wingfield, Yellow JW and Pink JW).

Leapark Hotel Trophy Scroll for 3 vases of five Exhibition Sprays.
First Sandy Innes, second John Dempster and third Henry Haig
             
Best Vase in show was Clayton Carlyle's vase of - 5 John Wingfield

Best Exhibit was Tom Buchan's wining entry in the 3x5 class
