The RHS show is one the highlights in the Aberdeen horticultural calendar. A number of marquees are erected in the city's Duthie Park, these house the many horticultural exhibits during the two days of the show. In the chrysanthemum section the main class for three vases of large disbudded blooms was won by Tom Buchan with an excellent entry of Pearl Celebration and White Pearl plus Cherry Chessington. The vase of Pearl Celebration was selected as Best vase in Show and the exhibit gained the Best Exhibit award. Unfortunately shortly after judging there was a accident and the exhibit was severely damaged. In the class for three vases of three medium blooms, Paul Barlow won the class with a entry of Cornetto, Woolley Globe and Lorna Wood. In the three vase Exhibition Spray class Arthur Fisher was successful with Peach, Honey and White Enbee Wedding. Ed Mitchell and Ally Donald were second and third respectively. Doug Stewart won the three vase class for natural sprays with Southway Spellbound, Enbee Frill and salmon Frill.
