2006 Shows Reports

This year we had the hottest/driest
July on record, and at the time it was not clear how these extremes would affect the
chrysanthemums.
Many growers are of the opinion that the high day and night
temperatures caused a slowdown in growth and bloom development resulting
in later blooms than had initially been anticipated. Bloom size and
colour did not appear to be particularly adversely affected here in
Scotland.
