Brechin Horticultural Society Show - 8/9th September
Chrysanth entries were a little bit
thin at the Brechin show this year.
The main class for three
vases of five blooms was won by Paul Barlow (Yellow John Wingfield,
Carlene Welby and Millennium). This entry was Best Exhibit and the Carlene
Welby won Best Vase.
In the classes for Sprays
Doug Stewart won the six vase class (Broadway Mandy(2), plus Bronze,
Honey, White and Yellow Enbee Wedding). In the three vase class for
natural sprays Doug's entry consisted of Southway Seraphim, Hillsway
Billy and Honey Enbee Wedding, the winning entry in this class came from
Ed Mitchell, however there is no picture available for this entry.
In the three vase exhibition
sprays class Doug Stewart entered Myss Saffron, Broadway Mandy and Talbot
Parade.
In the class for three vases
of three blooms Paul Barlow's entry (Cornetto, John Wingfield and yellow
sport was first, Dorothy Spencer (Peter Jolly, John Wingfield and yellow
sport) was second.
