Fife Garden Festival - 16th September

A new venue for the show this year - having moved away from the Rothes Halls in Glenrothes to Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline.

The Fife and Kinross Chrysanthemum Championship calls for three vases of five blooms in distinct cultivars, the winner of this class is awarded the J. Miller Trophy.  Four good entries in the class this year. In first place was Paul Barlow's entry of Millennium, John Wingfield and the salmon sport. The John Wingfield in this entry was selected as Best Vase in Show and awarded the NCS Bronze Medal. In second place was Tom Buchan, Tom's entry consisted of Primrose and Apricot Chessington and Lynn Johnson. In third place Dave Scott (John Wingfield with pink and peach sports), fourth was Dennis Morrice (Woolley Pride, Woolley Globe, Purple Chempak Rose) 

In the class for six vases of five medium blooms just one entry from  Paul Barlow to win the Centennial Shield with vases of Red Chempak Rose, John Wingfield plus peach, candy, pink and yellow sports. This entry was also Best Exhibit in Show and received the NCS Silver Medal.

The class for three vases of five blooms, medium, was won by Tom Buchan with vases of Woolley Globe, Yellow John Wingfield and Purple Chempak Rose. 

The class for six vases of three large blooms was won by Willie Martin (Billy Bell (2), Yellow Billy Bell, Apricot and Gold Courtier and Primrose Chessington).

In the class for six vases of three medium blooms Alistair Cameron exhibited John Wingfield with Honey(2), Candy(2) and salmon sports.

The class for three vases of three mediums was won by Jim Hosie with John Wingfield and the peach sport plus Lorna Wood.

In the six vases of sprays Callum Smith was sucessful with Myss Goldie, Enbee Wedding, Pennine Swan, Rose Enbee W, Peach Enbee W and Broadway Mandy.

In the three vase class for exhibition sprays Callum Smith was successful with Oriel, Enbee Wedding and primrose Enbee.
