Fraserburgh Horticultural Society - 9th September

The Fraserburgh Show proved once again the enthusiasm the chrysanthemum fraternity in the far north east of Scotland. Nearly all classes were well contested with quality exhibits throughout.

The class for three vases of five large blooms was won by Tom Buchan, Tom's entry consisted of  Primrose Chessington (best vase of large and ultimately best vase in show), Lynn Johnson and Cherry Chessington. This entry was also Best Exhibit in show. In second place Dennis Morrice with an entry consisting of Billy Bell, Malcolm Perkins and Clapham Delight.

In the class for three vases of five medium blooms Paul Barlow was successful with Millennium, Pink John Wingfield and John Wingfield. In second place Tom Buchan (Pink, Yellow and Honey John Wingfield - the vase of Yellow JW was selected as best vase of mediums in show). Ian Gerrie was placed third, Ian's entry consisted of Millennium, Purple Chempak Rose and Woolley Globe.

Tom Buchan's entry in the class for six vases of three blooms consisted of Pearl Celebration, White Pearl, Purple Chempak Rose, Lynn Johnson, Salmon Chessington, Primrose Chessington.  Dennis Morrice was second and Dave Macfarlane was third and Ian Gerrie was fourth. Tom's winning entry was awarded second best exhibit in show. Tom continued his winning streak by taking the red ticket in the class for 3 vases of three blooms using Yellow Wingfield, Salmon Chessington and Millenium. Paul Barlow's entry of Chempak Rose plus red and purple sports was second. 

In the sprays Arthur Fisher was successful in the three vase class.
