Perth Chrysanth & Dahlia Society - 9/10th September
The Perth Show was held in St.
Mathews Church hall alongside the River Tay in the city centre.
The premier class calls for six
vases of five blooms large and/or medium. Two entries in the class this year
with Dave Scott's entry taking first prize and also gaining the award for Best
Exhibit in Show. Dave's entry consisted of John Wingfield plus pink (2), honey
(2) and candy sports. Paul Barlow entry was second (Millennium, Cornetto, John
Wingfield and salmon, peach and candy sports). The vase of candy JW was selected
as best Vase in Show.
In the class for three vases
of five medium blooms Paul Barlow's entry (Cornetto, Red Chempak Rose and
Yellow John Wingfield) was first with Alistair Cameron (Candy, Salmon and
Peach John Wingfield) placed second.
Three entries in the class
for three vases of three blooms - Dennis Morrice was first (Darlington
Jubilee, Woolley Globe and Woolley Pride). Jim Hosie was second (John
Wingfield and pink sport plus Cornetto). In third place was David Tait
(Billy Bell and yellow sport plus Lynn Johnson.
