Fraserburgh Horticultural Society - 8th September

The Fraserburgh Show proved once again the enthusiasm of the chrysanthemum fraternity in the far north east of Scotland. Most classes were well contested with the type of quality exhibits we regularly see at Fraserburgh.

The class for three vases of five large blooms was won by Tom Buchan, Tom's entry consisted of  Cherry Chessington, Pearl Celebration , Yellow Courtier.  This entry was also Best Exhibit in show. In second place Paul Barlow, showing Allyson Peace, Billy Bell, Yellow Billy Bell. The vase of Billy Bell in this entry was Best Vase of Large blooms in Show and ultimately Best Vase overall.  In third place Bill Angus with Billy Bell, Clapham Delight, Malcolm Perkins.

In the class for three vases of five medium blooms Tom Buchan was first (Yellow and Honey John Wingfield along with Purple Chempak Rose). In second place Paul Barlow showed Yellow, Salmon and John Wingfield itself. The vase of John Wingfield was selected as Best Vase of Mediums blooms. In third Ian Gerrie exhibited Woolley Globe, Yellow John Wingfield and Purple Chempak Rose.  Tom's winning entry in this class was also runner up to Best Exhibit in Show. 

Ian Gerrie's winning entry in the class for six vases of three blooms consisted of Carlene Welby, Honey Wingfield, Millenium, Peach Wingfield, Pink Wingfield, Chempak Rose.

In the exhibition sprays Arthur Fisher was successful in the three vase class with Honey Enbee, Pennine Swan, Enbee Wedding. In the Natural sprays Dennis Morrice exhibited Southway Sheba, Pennine Swan and  Rose Mandy.
