Brechin Horticultural Society Show - 12/13th September
Chrysanth entries were up a
little on last year which is encouraging.
The main class for three
vases of five blooms was won by Paul Barlow (Billy Bell - best Vase in
show, Carlene Welby and Millennium). This entry was awarded the NCS Silver
Medal for Best Exhibit.
Paul also won there vases of
three blooms large/medium with Yellow Billy Bell, Lynn Johnson and
Millennium.
In the class for three vases
of three blooms Paul Barlow's entry (Woolley Globe, Millennium and John
Wingfield) was first, other entries in the class were from Dorothy Spencer
(Peter Jolly, Cornetto and Matlock), Donald Buchan (John Wingfield plus
pink and peach sports), W Candy (Yellow Gingernut, Egret and primrose
Egret).
In the classes for Sprays
Dough Stewart won the six vase class and was awarded NCS bronze for this
exhibit. In the three vases class for natural sprays Donald Buchan and
Dorothy Spencer exhibited, Doug Stewart also exhibited in the three vase
class for exhibition sprays.
