Peter Fawcett at Northern Group Late
show 2008
|
The Northern Group Late Show
was held at Markham Grange Nurseries and Garden Centre on 20th-22nd
November 2009.
The first thing I
would like to say it was one of the most successful shows held with
entries only marginally down on last years record high of 500 vases. Which
shows the skill of the growers who managed to get quality flowers this
late in a relatively early season .
Ron Mayo was 'cock of the rock' , not
only did he win the Shell Carrington trophy for five vases of incurves
with White ; Yellow ; Salmon ; Peach , with his Fairweather it’s self
taking the best vase of incurves and best vase in show Not only that
, Ron was rather shocked to be awarded the Bentley for the best
exhibit in the show .
This is the first time since the early 1990’s
since incurves have taken the Bentley .
You will find pictures of most of the
exhibits mentioned here on the main Northern Group Late Show page. Link
