Joyce Fountain

September classified Large Red Reflexed (24a R)

Root: see cultural guide

Blooms per plant: 2 for exhibition.

Height: 1.25 metres appx

Protection: Overhead and shading.

Cultural tips from John Peace:
Joyce Fountain: again grown two up stopped 14th of April. I did find that it can not take the feed, only feed until securing the bud at the rate of 200 ppms nitrogen. My first trial with this I bloom fed and lost them all and so now do as I have said only feed until securing the bud. It is a very impressive flower and Allysons favourite to dress. So it is a great flower for those of you out there who would like a nice colourful reflex, which is easy to dress.
U.K. Regional Stopping guide
The dates we choose for stopping our chrysanths can never be guaranteed to produce flowers on a specific date for a specific show, weather conditions and other factors (such as garden aspect, location, cultural routine etc) will all play a part in influencing speed of plant development following the stop. The following information relates to stopping dates for producing blooms for Shows during the first half of September and are offered as a start point for new growers. Adjustments should be made for later or earlier shows.
