Cultural Guide by John Harrison:
I have written a few notes and included a photo of a vase of Olwyns for your web site. The photo was taken by Glen Spencer and I have his written permission for you to use it if you wish. All Olwyns flowered three up. Using 9'' plastic pots and peat based compost (Chempak potting base mix) Plants are stopped on 20th May and buds secured between 15th and 20th August. Feed with chempak No.3 soluble fertiliser at 1/2 strength.

The following information relates to stopping dates for producing blooms for Shows during the first half of September or first half of November depending on section and are offered as a start point for new growers. Adjustments should be made for later or earlier shows.
