A very heavy grower with exceptionally large leaves. After securing buds there is a tendency for the
neck to stretch away from the top leaves. Blooms are a solid pink made up of
broad flat petals that require only the minimum of dressing. This cultivar
may 'blow it's top' if large amounts of water are given late in the day
during June. A cultivar that needs special attention but the the blooms
certainly make it worthwhile.
U.K. Regional Stopping guide The dates we choose for stopping our chrysanths can never be
guaranteed to produce flowers on a specific date for a specific show,
weather conditions and other factors (such as garden aspect, location,
cultural routine etc) will all play a part in influencing speed of plant
development following the stop. The following information relates to
stopping dates for producing blooms for Shows during the first half of
September and are offered as a start point for new growers. Adjustments
should be made for later or earlier shows.
