Woolley Globe
Woolley Globe

October classified medium, white intermediate. (15b W)

Root: Late December/early January.

Stop: Late March/early April.

Blooms per plant: 2 for exhibition.

Height: 1.8 metres appx

Protection: overhead and bloom bags

Culture
A strong grower with quite thick green stems and small leaves. After securing buds it may be necessary to remove one or two top leaves to accommodate the bloom bag. The large blooms are pure white and of slightly loose, open form, and in my experience not susceptible to damping. Equally at home when grown in pots or in the open bed.

U.K. Regional Stopping guide
The dates we choose for stopping our chrysanths can never be guaranteed to produce flowers on a specific date for a specific show, weather conditions and other factors (such as garden aspect, location, cultural routine etc) will all play a part in influencing speed of plant development following the stop. The following information relates to stopping dates for producing blooms for Shows during the first half of September and are offered as a start point for new growers. Adjustments should be made for later or earlier shows.
